Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 400 gms boneless chicken


  • 3-4 tbsp butter


  • 1 nos onion


  • 100-150 gms mushroom(sliced)


  • 1/2 tbsp tomato puree


  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup


  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce


  • 4-5 nos garlic flakes


  • 1 tbsp maida


  • 1/2 tsp chili powder


  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder


  • 3/4 cups fresh cream


  • 2-3 tbsp yoghurt


  • 1 nos capsicum

Directions

  • Cut boneless chicken into cubes.
  • Sprinkle some salt ,pepper and chilli powder over the chicken pieces.Keep it aside.
  • Heat 1Tbsp of butter in a non stick pan with a tight fitting lid.
  • Add the onion and cook till light brown color.
  • Add mushrooms,1/2tsp of pepper powder and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove the mushrooms and onions from the pan.
  • In the same pan add 1Tbsp of butter and add chicken cubes.Stir fry till well browned on both sides.
  • Add 2 cups of water and close the lid and simmer for sometime(till the chicken is tender).Take out 1/2 cup of chicken stock from the cooked chicken.
  • Cool the stock and mix with maida.
  • Keep the maida paste aside.
  • Return the pan with the chicken to heat .Add tomato puree,tomato sauce,Worcestershire sauce and fried onion and mushroom to the chicken in the pan.
  • Add salt ,pepper,and maida paste.
  • Stir and bring it to boil.Whip cream and yogurt well so that there are no lumps.
  • Take pan off the heat and add cream - yogurt mixture.Mix well.Add chopped capsicum .
  • Heat on very low flame gently and remove just before it starts to boil.
